Ingredients (24 cm tin):
• 250 g butter (room temperature)
• 250 g sugar
• 4 eggs
• 300 g all-purpose flour
• 1 packet baking powder
• 120 ml fresh orange juice
• Zest of 2 oranges
• A pinch of salt
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 170°C.
- Beat the butter with the sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time.
- Mix the flour with baking powder and salt, and add it alternately with the orange juice.
- Add the zest and stir gently.
- Pour the mixture into a greased tin and bake for 45–50 minutes.
- Allow to cool and dust with icing sugar or glaze with orange juice and icing sugar.
